Apologetics Conference
Saturday, October 12
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At NewLife Church
Cost: $15
Is Biblical faith really a belief without evidence? Is there a tension between faith and science? In an increasingly skeptical world, believers are going to encounter more and more questions from our neighbors, colleagues, and even family members.
Perhaps someone has asked you a hard question you that weren't prepared to answer. Perhaps you've wondered about some of these questions yourself! Through the study of apologetics we can work through some of these challenges that an unbelieving culture will raise, and move through the chaos and into clarity!
Registration Closes Sunday, October 6

PASTOR BARRON GEIGER
Leading: “Can You Trust the Bible?” breakout
Barron Geiger grew up in Central California as part of a believing family and deeply dedicated his life to Christ as a young adult in 1986. He started volunteering in local church ministry in 1990 as a worship leader, youth director, then, after moving to Iowa, led a large college and career ministry. In 2002, his family felt called to a church planting and discipleship ministry in Gravataí, Brazil where they lived and established a church between 2004-2008. In 2008, they returned from the mission field and helped plant CrossWay Community Church in Altoona, IA where Barron became the lead pastor. CrossWay later merged with Grace Community Church and was renamed Southeast Polk Family Church.
Apologetics is quite literally defense of the faith; the Greek word apologia means “defense” as a lawyer gives at a trial. In every generation, people face the challenges, questions, and concerns of the gospel message of the Christian faith.
