| Kay Miller | I have a praise report on our dear sweet Madi Meyers. As you know Madi is 4 and has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. A few months back they decided to use a new trial chemo med on Madi. She has overcome many set backs and side effects from the meds these past few months. But, yesterday Madi had an MRI. The Dr’s were in complete shock and even checked twice the report and to make sure Madi was diagnosed correctly in first place, and she was. Madi’s MRI showed yesterday that Madi’s tumor had shrunk, it showed that this new trial chemo meds is working. They told Madi’s parents that Madi will be watched carefully over next few years, but if she keeps overcoming and tumor keeps shrinking there may be a day she will be in remission and to plan on seeing her through High School. On Friday they were told he had lung cancer and will not live to see the oldest become a teenager. | Dan Dooley | My mom (who winters in Florida, and is due to be back in Iowa in the next two weeks) has been in the hospital with pnuemonia. Today she had a biopsy on her lungs and it has come back as cancer. They are wanting to start chemotherapy right away. She is talking about staying in Florida and do the chemotherapy, rather than coming home and being with her support system. She has 3 children and many grandkids that can help with her care. I’m asking for prayer about: a) the cancer and subsequent treatment, b) wisdom and words to convince her that she needs to be surrounded by the people that love and care for her while going through this. | Prayer Requests – General |
